As Venezuela’s first aeronautical engineer, he founded VIASA—Venezolana Internacional de Aviación, Sociedad Anónima—ushering in a new era of global access and progress for his nation. Though their missions differed in form, both men believed in the power of connection, education, and equality on a global scale.
Their stories converged in a moment of historic significance—when Dr. King boarded a VIASA aircraft, symbolizing not only a physical journey but the bridging of two visionary legacies. One fought for civil rights; the other engineered global mobility. Together, they marked a chapter in Latin American history defined by bold leadership and shared ideals.
